Website Transfer FUBAR

Sometimes I really hate the internets and their tubes that connect us all*. Big mess up of my domain name transfer to my new host provider so Cinemacomics.com will be down for a few days until this is all worked out. Seems that despite several calls over a few months by me to the old provider and the new provider where they continually assured me that everything had been transfered correctly, in reality it looks like it hadn't. Sooooo, everyone is working on it and we'll see if this time it actually turns out as it was supposed to the first time.

UPDATE: The domain name is transferring correctly now (or so I'm told anyway) but the website won't be back live until that happens apparently. And the estimation for that I was told is 2 to 7 days!!! Ummmm, can't they automate this $#!% so it goes a lot faster than that?! I know this is all Ted's fault...

UPDATE 02: Okay, it seems to be back up now and everything seems to be going through now for the domain transfer. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE 03: 2-16-08 Yay! Domain has been fully transfered to new host causing peace to break out across the world!*

*Not true about the peace thing but the site is back up!

Feb. 6th is the release date for issue #2! This issue the action really heats up and it's got an amazing cover by the series artist, Marc Borstel. We also have a really cool back cover by upcoming superstar Joe Suitor. Enjoy!

So Close I Can Taste It...Ewwww!

Just a couple pages away from finishing up ONE: Season 1 #2. Of course then I've got to digital ink it, but I've gotten so slick with my Wacom now I can digital ink between 2-3 pages a day. So, 2 issues in about 2 months give or take a week ain't bad. Especially when you consider all the other stuff I'm doing. Speaking of that, I can see that next week is shaping up to be a lettering week. Misadventures #4 has finally gotten it's final edits so I need to correct some lettering on those pages and get the files ready for print and I also received the next issue of Marc Borstel's Ork Lycantrophis in my email box yesterday. That first issue was tough to letter because the word balloons and lettering were drawn onto the page itself and to top it off it was in Spanish! Anyway, it took some time to do that first issue but I'm betting the second one will go much faster now that I've got a little experience with issue 1. Anyway, the pages look really good for work that Marc did over 10 years ago and the downloads on Wowio have been decent so far with not much advertising. Once the print copy is ready there will be a bigger round of advertising but so far so good. Also cranked out another 20 pages or so of script in the last 2 days for the new Misadventures story. I'm hoping to have all of the above wrapped up by next weekend--yeah, I live in a fantasy world, right?
